1st Project

So here (left and right) is my work of art....well my first actual scarf! I think its going pretty good so far, I've been working on my gauge and trying to make sure it all looks the same. I've noticed that I do get tight around the edges but then my gauge goes back regular in the middle but then tappers off back tight again. My work overall is coming along quiet well though, I haven't had any trouble with it. I feel like I've accomplished alot in this past week and my ball of yarn is just getting smaller and smaller. Its really exciting watching something that you actually worked on come to life.
I'm planning on following an actual plan next time I make a scarf or anything for that matter. I don't want to try anything too large just yet but I do want to make a sweater one of these days. I guess that day will come when I get better at knitting. I mean when my craft is kinda molded into a good 76% and slowly moving up. Right now I would rate myself at a 12% when it comes to the skill factor and creativity. I just don't want to mess up anything at the moment so I didn't' try anything too hard. I didn't take any risk but the next project will defiantly be a step up!

Great Resource

As I was searching I found a very help site, from the help of another site. Lion Brand Yarn has great pictures and great information. I found out how to start my scarf off better through this site and I might even put a little design into it. Who knows but I plan to really have fun with this project and still keep it simple for myself. The site that I found that helped me find Lion Brand Yarn is Anne's site called Weekend Kits Blog. It has loads of information on it even if knitting isn't the only thing your into. She has scrap booking information and crocheting.
Maybe with some skill this will be my next project(to the left)...another scarf but it looks so nice! Its called the easy scarf .

Yarns of Orange

Finally!!!
I'm going to work on an actual project. After talking to a friend, I feel that it is better to just jump right in and let the mistakes fall where they may. I mean I can't keep practicing all day especially when I have the basics down. The color change and even adding color is something I'll have to put forth more practice in but everything else seems pretty solid with me. So I'm going to begin production on an orange scarf. I've started it off with 22 stitches and I'm going to keep it that width. I'll take pictures of my production as it gets further along. At the moment I just have a ball of orange yarn that I put together sometime yesterday. So let the project begin!!!
