1st Project

So here (left and right) is my work of art....well my first actual scarf! I think its going pretty good so far, I've been working on my gauge and trying to make sure it all looks the same. I've noticed that I do get tight around the edges but then my gauge goes back regular in the middle but then tappers off back tight again. My work overall is coming along quiet well though, I haven't had any trouble with it. I feel like I've accomplished alot in this past week and my ball of yarn is just getting smaller and smaller. Its really exciting watching something that you actually worked on come to life.
I'm planning on following an actual plan next time I make a scarf or anything for that matter. I don't want to try anything too large just yet but I do want to make a sweater one of these days. I guess that day will come when I get better at knitting. I mean when my craft is kinda molded into a good 76% and slowly moving up. Right now I would rate myself at a 12% when it comes to the skill factor and creativity. I just don't want to mess up anything at the moment so I didn't' try anything too hard. I didn't take any risk but the next project will defiantly be a step up!

Yarns of Orange

Finally!!!
I'm going to work on an actual project. After talking to a friend, I feel that it is better to just jump right in and let the mistakes fall where they may. I mean I can't keep practicing all day especially when I have the basics down. The color change and even adding color is something I'll have to put forth more practice in but everything else seems pretty solid with me. So I'm going to begin production on an orange scarf. I've started it off with 22 stitches and I'm going to keep it that width. I'll take pictures of my production as it gets further along. At the moment I just have a ball of orange yarn that I put together sometime yesterday. So let the project begin!!!

Rush

Walking into Micheal's is such a great feeling! I begin to get overwhelmed by the colors, fascinated by the designs, and in love with all the different textures! This store was made just for me and all my many crafts.

I enjoy creating new things and learning new crafts. Working with my hands brings me great joy and its also ever so relaxing. I'm able to melt away hours of stress by simply pulling out a ball of yarn and getting to work; or even scatter about some photos and begin scrap booking. Which ever I decided I'm going to be engulfed in my work till I feel satisfied.
